My take on this is that it is headed for a cancellation.
They have already removed the first Saturday, cutting it back to 8 days instead of 9. It
is just a matter of time before the "volunteers" who run it, unravel it. No, it's not the fault of the volunteers but the board of directors, and it's not everyone making the decisions but a few individuals, who really make money off of the festival.
They have little money to run all of the costly events, volunteers are far and few. And they are scrambling now to try to get it together.
One day the truth shall come out about Yankee Homecoming, how it is really run, the scandals,
the bullying, the mismanagement of donations, etc. etc. Is this the year when it should happen? maybe, maybe not. But it is in jeopardy, for sure.
